1. Facebook
The Mega Social Networking Site. I’m on it every day, of course. Unfortunate statistics: the primary reason males use Facebook is to look at pictures of women they don’t know. The second reason is to look at pictures of women they do know.
2. YouTube
Primarily because of all the cute fucking videos I find on it. Oh yeah, and to occasionally feed my habit of stalking Damien Rice and Glen Hansard.
3. Twitter
RANDOM THOUGHTS ARE RANDOM LET’S LET EVERYONE SEE THEM. Or 140 characters of them. But Twitter has also decreased the amount of space between fans and celebrities (or, important people in general), which is awesome. The guy who does PRI’s twitter tends to tweet at me whenever I tweet him. Also, Adam Savage from MythBusters is one of my favorite people ever.
4. LiveJournal
I don’t use it often enough, but the communities are what push it over Xanga and other diary-style blogging sites for me. ontd_political is the best source for blogged news aggregation and commenting outside of … well, actually. It is the best.
5. Flickr
PRETTY PICTURES. Wait, why don’t I have an account there yet? BECAUSE EVERYONE IS ELSE HAS NICER CAMERAS THAN I DO. Fuck it.
